Harrisburg, PA, June 1, 2016– The Harrisburg Heat, Central PA’s Professional Indoor Soccer Team, will hold a press conference on Friday, June 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the Harrisburg Farm Complex in the Susquehanna Room. The Heat’s new owner will be announced, along with the confirmation of its membership in the newly-formed Indoor Professional League (IPL).
Expect to hear announcements from the founder of the IPL, Ed Hale as well as the President/General Manager of the Baltimore Blast, Kevin Healey, who will be on hand to stoke the fire on a Heat/Blast rivalry. Heat team members, including former Heat stars Danny Kelly and David Basccome will be on hand for comment as well. The new IPL season will begin in November with an expected eight to ten teams in its inaugural season. “The Blast looks forward to continuing a great rivalry with the Harrisburg Heat. It’s a great day for Harrisburg as I know the new owner will do a great job raising the level of the Heat franchise,” said Kevin Healey.
Press conference will be in the Susquehanna Room — the first room upstairs in the Keystone Conference Center (Maclay Street side of the Complex). Parking will be on the Maclay Street side and guests can enter using the center Maclay Street
doors. Light snacks and big announcements will be served. The Harrisburg Heat is based at the Farm Show Complex & Expo Center in Harrisburg, PA playing in the large arena. The Heat is the ONLY first-tier major league professional sports team based in Central, PA. # #
